It feels surreal!
Isn’t it crazy how weddings have been changed recently due to Covid-19. It feels like we’ll never get back to celebrating weddings with our whole family. We are at a time where we can only have 30 people attend weddings. We all have to remain 2 meters apart to protect our loved ones but I cant help but feel like life is almost on hold right now.
So, to lift our spirits I’m going to take a look back my 2019 wedding season. I was just starting out as a Wedding photographer but secured a few weddings. The wedding I will be looking back on today is Mr and Mrs Stevenson. How are they going to be celebrating their 2 year wedding anniversary this May? Where has the time gone?!
I remember this day like it was yesterday! It was a boiling hot day, the sun was up and it was practically blue skies all day apart from a few clouds. This wedding was quite special for me. The bride is a previous work colleague of mine and we hadn’t seen each other in a few years but it was so lovely to be a part of her special day!
Unfortunately, she was in a car accident a few days prior to the wedding and on her wedding day she rocked a cast on her arm and smiled through the pain of broken ribs and an injured ankle! Such an inspiration to not let anything stop you from your happiness.
The ceremony took place at St Mary’s Church, Welwyn and the reception took place at The View in Welwyn Garden City. The venue was amazing, they allowed us to walk on their grounds for images and even let us borrow a golf buggy for some shots.
The DJ’s at this wedding were amazing they worked with me in finding the perfect way to light the cake cutting moment. They also provided the guests with some fun games and amazing music throughout the whole reception. If you are based in Hertfordshire, I would highly recommend using JN Sounds for your wedding DJ. As you will see in some of the photos in this blog, they were fully involved and even had a game of Mr and Mrs with the bride and groom which was a lot of fun for the guests to watch.
